Players should show up early to check in and stretch out. Only players should be on the field areas during tryouts. Parents should remain outside of the fence or in the upper viewing areas of the bleachers so there are no distractions for any of the players. All players will be contacted after the last day of tryout for their age group within 24 hours so that they know the results of their tryout. Coaches of age groups will contact parents directly so that everyone is kept in the loop.

Competitive Program
The USA North Competitive Program is designed for Boys and Girls aged U8-U18 and is based on the industry standard club model for U.S. Soccer. Our Competitive Program provides a positive environment for players that demonstrate the necessary talent, skill, commitment, good sportsmanship and desire to continue to develop and compete at the highest levels. Within our program, our youngest age teams play in the VESL (Volunteer Elite Soccer League - a local league for soccer teams in East TN). Our older (U-13 and older) boys and girls teams participate in state league through TNSoccer. While the younger competitive program emphasizes player development and team building through local league play and local tournaments, our older program has some level of travel component to it to enable players to compete at the state level. Individual teams compete at various levels depending upon the competitive needs of the players involved.
Competitive teams (selected by Age group and Gender...i.e. Boys U-9 or Girls U-11) are formed through open tryouts in May and early June of each year. Positions on teams are awarded based on skill and team needs. Given the nature of the program and inherent in the selection process, not every player will be offered the starting position which they desire, but will have the opportunity to better their skillsets and tactical understanding throughout the year.
Players are accepted to their team for a one year (12-month) commitment beginning August 1st to July 31st the following year. If you have any questions about the Competitive Program or would like additional information please contact Darrick Lubell, Director of Coaching at darrick.lubell@gmail.com.

U9-U10 (7v7)
The 7v7 programs are the first years for a player moving out of the recreational soccer environment and into a more developmentally focused one. Keep in mind, players at this young age develop rapidly and team placements mean less at this age than any other. All teams are trained by USSF-Licensed Coaches.

U11-U12 (9v9)
The 9v9 programs are major transition years for players in the U11-U12 ages. These programs build toward concepts that will be implemented in the 11v11 ages. The focus remains proper skills acquisition and training techniques within a competitive environment. All teams are trained by USSF-Licensed Coaches.

U13-U18 (11v11)
Designed for players who desire a highly competitive level of development. All teams are trained by USSF-Licensed Coaches.
