  • Connor Jacobs • son of Stan and Jackie Jacobs • is a twin • guided team to a four-year record of 65-12-3 • led team to four district championships as well as back-to-back regional and state championships as a junior and senior • anchored defense that only surrendered seven goals in 19 games as a sophomore • scored 11 goals and four assists as a junior • led team with 22 goals and 15 assists as a senior • two-time team captain • three-time All-KIL, all-region, all-district and all-state selection • three-time district MVP • earned region MVP and NSCAA HS Scholar All-America honors as a senior • played six years with  98 Black • five-time TN Division 1 State Champions • selected to compete in the USYS National League from 2013-2015 • also ran cross country and led team to four straight state titles • four-time all-state selection and team captain as a senior • majoring in chemical engineering.

  • Prep Years: NSCAA High School All-American in 2016... Scored 39 goals and had 23 assists, leading Christian Academy of Knoxville to a 21-2-1 season and a Class AA state title as a senior... Finished high school career with 111 goals... As a junior, had 42 goals, 16 assists and earned Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year runner up... Selected to the Knoxville Force roster for the National Professional Soccer League's summer season...Brother Ryan plays soccer for Kentucky.

  • Gabe Alvarez All District All region All state All American

  • Freshman Gabe Alvarez of the Oglethorpe men's soccer team has been named the SAAC Male Athlete of the Week by his peers in the Oglethorpe Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

  • Alvarez scored a pair of goals in the 3-2 Stormy Petrel victory at Berry on Saturday, earning his final marker in the second period of overtime for the game-winner. His performance helped the Petrels secure their first-ever undefeated season in conference play, and gave him five goals on the year to put him in a tie for ninth in the league.
